The concrete car park floor slabs in a Vancouver apartment block basement car park were protected against de-icing salts and acid rain.
In this location, vehicles entering the car park frequently bring in water from the streets, which is not just ordinary rainwater. Due to the climate conditions, this water often contains a hazardous mixture of de-icing salts and residual acid from acid rain.
Learn how effective protection was applied; and the results from an independent engineer’s report 18 years later.
This project pre-dates MARKHAM involvement.
