Tank bases at Chorley Water Treatment Works
At Chorley Waste Water Treatment Works, Hollywood Civil Engineering asked MARKHAM to apply AQURON 2000 to the concrete to increase the durability and lifespan of these tank bases. This is achieved by increasing its chemical ingress resistance to bring it into line with United Utilities requirements.
This prevented the bases having to be broken out and recast with concrete of the correct mix design, providing a solution with significant time and cost savings.
AQURON 2000 is a spray-applied penetrating hydrogel treatment, and can be a key component of the INFRA-TECT® concrete remediation system.
