The Glencore Murrin Murrin Nickel-Cobalt Processing Plant
This mining complex includes structures that require the highest level of protection against a variety of harsh chemical attacks, including those from cyanide and sulfuric acid.
To ensure maximum protection against these chemical attacks, it is crucial to choose the right concrete mix. MARKHAM’s advanced colloidal silica concrete waterproofing admixtures have been specifically designed to provide excellent protection against water-borne chemical attacks. By including colloidal silica admixture in the concrete mix, the resulting structure becomes more durable and resistant to wear and tear.
However, it’s not just about choosing the right concrete mix. Proper curing of the concrete is also an essential component in ensuring maximum protection against chemical attacks. We then spray-applied hydrogel treatment as a cure, for added protection against harsh chemical attacks.
When combined with the admixture, it creates a unique and effective solution for concrete structures that require maximum protection against chemical attacks.
By using these treatments together, the structure is well-protected against a range of harsh chemical attacks. This gives peace of mind, reduces maintenance costs, optimizing the asset for maximum service life.
