PROTECTION & WATERPROOFING FOR DURABILITY
When spray applied AQURON 7000 penetrates deeply into the concrete matrix by a nano-molecular chemical attraction, disrupting the corrosion damage mechanism, effectively halting the electrochemical corrosion process as moisture is not available to transport chlorides and other deleterious materials that contribute to reinforcing steel corrosion.

Halts & controls chloride ingress
Independent laboratories have tested for chloride penetration and show the treatment both prevents chloride penetration and immobilises the chlorides in the gel if they are already present, making them no longer available to accelerate corrosion. Field studies show the same, with no increase in chloride levels and the subsequent damage over long term intervals.

AQURON 7000 is a spray applied colloidal silica hydrogel treatment for optimizing the service life of both new and existing concrete. It is commonly used in remediation, where the concrete is facing premature deterioration.

Minimal disruption
AQURON 7000 is trafficable 1-2 hours after application. There is no change to surface appearance or texture, and it is compatible with following coatings or adhesives.

Low cover
Where cover over the reinforcing steel is insufficient, AQURON 7000 can offset this by increased waterproofing and densifying of the covering concrete. NCRs of this nature can therefore be rectified.
