AQURON 7000 is a spray applied colloidal silica hydrogel treatment for remediation and durability enhancement of existing concrete.
AQURON 7000 is the ultimate hydrogel treatment from the AQURON family.
AQURON 7000 is a spray applied colloidal silica hydrogel treatment for new and existing concrete. AQURON 7000 can be applied in conjunction with repairs, to stop any further break outs and protect against incipient anode syndrome.
PROTECTION & WATERPROOFING FOR DURABILITY
When spray applied AQURON 7000 penetrates deeply into the concrete matrix by a nano-molecular chemical attraction, disrupting the corrosion damage mechanism, effectively halting the electrochemical corrosion process as moisture is not available to transport chlorides and other deleterious materials that contribute to reinforcing steel corrosion. An environment is created that is not conducive to the electrochemical corrosion process, and a dynamic equilibrium is reached, increasing the concretes resilience.
CHLORIDE CONTROL
Independent laboratories have tested for chloride penetration and show the treatment both prevents chloride penetration and immobilises the chlorides in the gel if they are already present, making them no longer available to accelerate corrosion. Field studies show the same, with no increase in chloride levels and the subsequent damage over long term intervals.
PERFORMANCE
AQURON 7000 works inside the concrete; there is no visible film or barrier on the surface. With MARKHAM, a performance warranty is always offered. This includes factors like permeability of the concrete, no spalls over a certain diameter and is a performance warranty not a product replacement warranty. This means if further corrosion damage does occur MARKHAM will remediate the areas, giving meaningful reasons to put asset management budget into preventative maintenance.
