What is the biggest challenge for concrete car parks? Cars.
Concrete car park structures, whether basement or above-ground, are faced with particular challenges to their service life. Firstly there’s load, tyre friction and wear. Then there’s carbonation, and the resulting concrete dust, caused by exhaust fumes.
Last but not least, moisture and contaminants are brought in with the vehicles, and find their way into the concrete, threatening the reinforcing steel. MARKHAM advanced solutions are designed to protect, enhance durability and reduce maintenance on both new and existing structures.
If your concrete car park structure is already showing signs of age, corrosion or breakout damage, act early!
In many cases, deterioration can be arrested or slowed, restoring service life expectations. Grease and oil can be purged out of car park deck concrete.
Alternatively, if spalling requires steel or cementitious content, include MARKHAM treatments as part of your solution to avoid ongoing issues such as IAS (Incipient Anode Syndrome).
Ask about the CIVIL-TECT® system for the complete project-managed experience.
CIVIL-TECT® is MARKHAM’s protection and durability system for existing concrete. Optimise structural assets. Maximise service life. Reduce ongoing maintenance.
CONQOR PROTECT advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment for concrete promotes crack self-healing and enetrates deep into the concrete, protecting the reinforcing steel. CONQOR PROTECT also provides anti-dusting for ceilings and soffits.
AQURON 2000 advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment gives protection against water and chemical ingress. it promotes crack self-healing, penetrates deep into the concrete, and arrests deterioration and the steel corrosion process.
The ultimate spray-applied hydrogel treatment for pro-active maintenance of concrete is AQURON 7000. Ideal for extreme ambient conditions including marine zone and weather-exposed structures. Penetrates deep into the concrete, protecting the reinforcing steel. Arrests corrosion and deterioration.
Enhance the durability and lifespan of your concrete assets with our advanced solutions. Combat corrosion, improve waterproofing, and reduce maintenance on both new and existing concrete.
Ask about the INFRA-TECT® and CIVIL-TECT® systems for the complete project- managed experience.
Our multi-part TOP-TECT® system is designed for car park roof decks.
TOP-TECT® is a systematic approach to concrete roof deck waterproofing, by waterproofing the concrete itself. Combining the benefits of MARKHAM colloidal silica hydrogel treatments with the advanced technology of delayed-swell gaskets, this is a holistic three-pronged approach bundled into a single readily specifiable package. A membrane is not required, giving the TOP-TECT system a significant cost benefit.
AQURON 300 concrete hydrogel waterproofing admixture. Protect the concrete from day one. Enhances workability. Reduces shrinkage cracking.
CONQOR B50 advanced concrete waterproofing admixture, sustainably sourced from the New Zealand geothermal industry. Nil VOC, nil odour – safe and easy to handle, transport and dose.
INFRA-TECT® – advanced system for protecting and enhancing the service life of exposed commercial concrete. INFRA-TECT® is a MARKHAM designed and installed system for concrete structures that will remain exposed – Focused on achieving maximum service life.
AQURON 2000 advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment for pro-active maintenance of concrete. Promotes crack self-healing. Penetrates deep into the concrete, protecting the reinforcing steel. Arrests deterioration.
Seals the concrete from within using CONQOR SEAL. No change to the surface colour or texture. Protects the reinforcing steel with deep penetration. Provides anti-dusting for ceilings and soffits. Permanent – never needs re-application!
CONQOR PROTECT multi-benefit spray-applied hydrogel treatment for concrete. Promotes crack self-healing. Penetrates deep into the concrete, protecting the reinforcing steel. Arrests deterioration. Provides anti-dusting for ceilings and soffits.
If you’re looking for water repellent treatment for vertical concrete and masonry surfaces, meet CONQOR REPEL. Ideal for precast panels. Helps maintain the natural look of the substrate.

Looking to handle concrete protection on your own? MARKHAM’s CONQOR SUPPLY range offers a selection of advanced, high-performance products designed to enhance concrete durability and sustainability.
No, hydrogel treatments do not change the surface texture of the car park concrete and therefore do not contribute to tyre squeal.
Hydrogel treatments are permanent, as they react within the concrete to produce new C-S-H. Therefore they do not need to be re-applied.
For the full TECT system MARKHAM experience, a project-specific warranty will be offered based on asset condition and extent of works. These performance warranties are typically a minimum of 15 years. For product supply only, where application is outside MARKHAM control, warranty is limited to replacement of product.
Firstly, the TECT systems involve a project-specific approach and typically involve several products working together. Secondly, the TECT systems carry a performance-based project-specific warranty, due to MARKHAM being able to provide installation and quality control on site. Single products are still of the highest quality, and can provide effective protection when the customer follows the application procedure correctly. Single products carry a standard product replacement warranty.
Yes. The hydrogel treatment creates fresh C-S-H inside the concrete – concreteʼs own building molecule. There is nothing foreign introduced. There is no residual coating. Therefore any coating or paint designed to be applied to bare concrete can safely be applied to hydrogel-treated concrete.
