Nambucca River Bridge Upgrade

Location:

Macksville, NSW

Country:

Australia

Project Type:

Civil / Infrastructure | Marine

Project Scale:

0 – 5,000 m²

The construction of the new bridge over the Nambucca River in Macksville, NSW, was a significant component of the Pacific Highway upgrades.

The MARKHAM team was involved, in applying AQURON 7000 hydrogel treatment to offset low cover issues in the concrete approach ramps and other segments.

(Learn how low cover can be effectively doubled here.)

This treatment is part of the CIVIL-TECT system, increasing the long-term durability of civil concrete infrastructure, and increasing its service life.

Further, the precast panels were cured and sealed with colloidal silica hydrogels, as they provide long-term anti-dusting, increased durability, and achieve 90% moisture retention for effective concrete curing.
