To evaluate the performance of Aquron products, MARKHAM commissioned tests to measure carbonation depth in concrete specimens treated with AQURON 2000 and AQURON 7000.
This document reports the second series of testing, which was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of aged AQURON products. Ageing and Accelerated carbonation conditions (ACC) tests are conducted as per EN 1062-11: 2002 and FIB (FIB Bulletin 34, 2006).
Extract from Conclusions: “… carbonation depth in Aquron 2000 and Aquron 7000 treated specimen, even after ageing was approximately 55% and 52%, respectively, lower than that of control unaged specimen. These results confirm the high effectiveness of Aquron 2000 and Aquron 7000.”
Tests were carried out by Western Sydney University, Centre for Infrastructure Engineering.
