Did you know that concrete at sporting stadiums is at particular risk?
- The high sugar content of spilled soft drinks.
- Basic moisture-borne contaminants brought in on footwear.
- And – dare we mention – bodily fluids, various.
All of these can react with the concrete itself, leading to premature deterioration.
MARKHAM were tasked with providing a treatment process for the new concrete floor slabs, stairways and landings at Everton Football Club’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
This was to enhance the durability and increase the lifespan of these structures and, probably most importantly, protect the concrete against the high level of footfall / pedestrian traffic that these areas will be subject to.
