Isaac Theatre, Christchurch

Location:

Christchurch

Country:

New Zealand

Project Type:

Cultural

Project Scale:

0 – 5,000 m²

The Isaac Theatre, built in 1903, was badly damaged by the Christchurch earthquakes in 2011. The restoration works included about 2000m² of concrete panels.

These panels were sealed with AQURON 1200, a water-repellent surface sealer that increases durability and lowers the need for concrete maintenance.

AQURON 1200 is particularly suited to precast concrete walls, including both industrial and decorative, and helps minimise discolouration caused by weather.

This treatment is an option in MARKHAM’s INFRA-TECT system, providing long-term protection for exposed concrete structures.
