Car park floor slabs – the moisture challenge
Car park floor slabs are under constant challenge, from a combination of traffic wear, and incoming contaminants. Vehicle tyres not only tend to abrade the surface, but bring in reactants, carried by moisture. The moisture-borne reactants penetrate into the concrete. This in turn can set up a cycle of early deterioration.
For this reason, AQURON 2000 was applied to 6,500m2 of the Frankston Hospital car park floor slabs, for quality curing and long-term moisture control. Spray-applied hydrogel hardens and densifies the concrete, sealing the porosity against contamination. AQURON 2000 has the additional benefits of waterproofing and moisture control, providing advanced and permanent protection.
