Protecting exposed concrete at a National Storage site
The exposed concrete hardstand and unit slabs of the National Storage facility in Manukau, Auckland NZ, are protected by penetrating hydrogel treatment.
Spray-applied hydrogel treatment penetrates deep into the concrete, and protects against abrasion, weathering and ageing of exposed concrete. In this project, it was ideal for long-term protection and durability of the trafficable areas.
The treatment also makes the concrete easier to clean, minimising maintenance of the surface.
