Car park floor slabs – protection
Car park floor slabs are under constant challenge, from a combination of traffic wear, and incoming contaminants. Vehicle tyres not only tend to abrade the surface, but bring in reactants, carried by moisture, which penetrate into the concrete. This in turn can set up a cycle of early deterioration.
For this reason, car park floor slabs benefit from hydrogel concrete treatments for sealing and hardening. Spray-applied hydrogel hardens and densifies the concrete, sealing the porosity against contamination.
Shopping Centre Example
MARKHAM was pleased to be involved in this shopping centre car park project in Maitland NSW in 2018, with the application of environmentally-friendly AQURON 2000 to their carpark slabs. This project is another example of the INFRA-TECT® system increasing durability and service life in a car park.
