Urban Superway – Adelaide

Location:

Country:

Australia

Project Type:

Civil / Infrastructure

Project Scale:

0 – 5,000 m²

The South Road Superway (AKA Urban Superway) is an arterial link built in Adelaide, starting in 2011.

AQURON treatments were used to remediate issues with the precast elements.

The feature of these treatments is that they penetrate to 150mm deep, and lock up all available moisture to that depth, preventing moisture-driven concrete deterioration from occurring.

(Find out how the chemical reaction works here.)

The system used here is now known as the CIVIL-TECT system. Tailored to the project’s requirements and size, whether a new or old concrete structure, the CIVIL-TECT treatments increase the service life of the concrete and reduce the maintenance required on it long-term. This is great news for the asset owner.
