Originally labelled a ‘Countdown’ project, this site was constructed during the re-branding phase, and emerged as a newly-fledged Woolworths from the outset of its trading history!
BASEMENT CHALLENGE
The building incorporated a ‘below-grade’ / underground basement car park. This needed waterproofing against the underlying water table.
RESPONSE
MARKHAM provided our comprehensive multi-part BASE-TECT® approach. This includes concrete waterproofing admixture, spray-applied hydrogel surface treatment, and delayed-swell waterstop gaskets for the joints and penetrations.
A total of 7,840 m2 of concrete was treated.
RESULTS
The photographs shared below are from a recent visit, and show the excellent condition of the basement concrete thus far. No weeping or seepage evident!
