To arrest corrosion and extend the service life we supplied and applied AQURON 7000 penetrating hydrogel for this freight port.
This is part of MARKHAM’s CIVIL-TECT system – the penetrating treatment immobilises all available moisture to 150mm deep, which prevents contamination from moisture migration, such as chloride ingress.
This was in 2020, and was further to the works on other sections we treated in early 2000s.
The system needs no reapplication, reducing maintenance costs long term.
