Solutions for

DATA CENTRE INFRASTRUCTURE
Protect your hardware from the ground up.

We can help.

Involved in data centre construction?
Data centres run on servers. The servers are surrounded by concrete.

How do we reduce risk?

At the construction phase, MARKHAM can help keep construction schedules and program time on track, with efficient curing, moisture control, and non-combustible concrete sealing. MARKHAM helps you achieve consistent results across multiple sites.

For the long-term, MARKHAM concrete treatments give you anti-dusting, deep hardening, permanent durability and reduced maintenance.

Concrete Dusting:

Prevent concrete dust from threatening your DATA CENTRE hardware

Reduce the risks from dust.

Concrete dust is a persistent and underestimated risk in data centre environments. As carbonation progresses in untreated floor slabs, surface breakdown releases fine dust particles that obstruct server airflow, raise internal operating temperatures and threaten the reliability of sensitive electronics.

Tight construction schedules.

Specialist surface coatings can help, but only when applied under ideal conditions after full concrete curing. In real project environments, those conditions rarely align with tight construction schedules, as cabling and equipment are often introduced before the concrete is ready.

MARKHAM hydrogel treatments are applied directly to fresh concrete and react internally, providing permanent protection that is not schedule-dependent and never require re-application.

MARKHAM admixtures and spray-on treatments are safe to handle and safe for the environment: nil VOC, nil odour, water-based and non-toxic.

DURABILITY IS SUSTAINABILITY

Less dust. Less maintenance. Longer service life.

MARKHAM’s range of water-based colloidal silica spray-on treatments are safe, nil-VOC and nil-odour. Because the reaction is internal rather than surface-based, the protection lasts for the life of the concrete with no re-application required.

  • CONQOR PROTECT is an advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment for concrete curing and protection from the time of construction. Promotes crack self-healing in concrete, further protecting the concrete and reinforcing steel. Arrests carbonation and prevents dusting at the source.
  • AQURON 2000 advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment gives protection against water and chemical ingress. It promotes crack self-healing, penetrates deep into the concrete, and arrests deterioration and the steel corrosion process.
  • The MARKHAM SLAB-TECT® approach provides options for burnished slab curing and long-term durability. This is a full end-to-end solution for your project.

MARKHAM’s range of water-based colloidal silica spray-on treatments are safe, nil-VOC and nil-odour. Early application means protection is built in from the time of construction – no waiting for full cure before the programme can proceed.

  • CONQOR CURE spray-applied hydrogel provides concrete curing quality in demanding site conditions. Minimise shrinkage cracking. No surface coating to remove afterwards. CONQOR CURE has been proven as equal to water-ponding curing.
  • CONQOR PROTECT is an advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment for concrete curing and protection from the time of construction. Promotes crack self-healing in concrete, further protecting the concrete and reinforcing steel.
  • AQURON 2000 advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment gives protection against water and chemical ingress. It promotes crack self-healing, penetrates deep into the concrete, and arrests deterioration and the steel corrosion process.

Concrete Durability:

Build DATA CENTRE concrete that lasts longer from day one

Reduce risk of accelerated breakdown.

High heat loads and the mechanical stresses of continuous server operation accelerate deterioration in untreated concrete. Long-term carbonation leads to surface breakdown, structural weakening and increased maintenance costs over the life of the facility.

MARKHAM hydrogel treatments permanently react within the concrete to block moisture pathways, prevent carbonation, and enhance density, reducing lifetime maintenance requirements from the time of construction.

MARKHAM holds EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) for key elements in our project range.

MARKHAM’s range of water-based colloidal silica admixtures are safe, nil-VOC and nil-odour. They require low-volume doses, making logistics and storage more cost-effective for ready-mix and precast producers. Colloidal silica admixtures enhance the rheology of the mix, making it easier to place and finish.

  • CONQOR B50 admixture is sourced from a by-product of the geothermal industry. This advanced durability and waterproofing admixture permanently protects the concrete.
  • AQURON 300 admixture is one of MARKHAM’s original hydrogel products – an advanced waterproofing admixture with multiple benefits for both the construction team and the asset owner.

Data centre facilities carry strict fire rating requirements. CONQOR PROTECT treated concrete has been independently tested and classified A1 / A1FL under BS EN 13501-1: 2018 – the highest possible reaction to fire classification. No flame retardants are present in the product.

Because the treatment reacts internally within the concrete rather than forming a surface coating, nothing additional needs to be accounted for in fire rating calculations.

  • CONQOR PROTECT holds an A1 / A1FL fire classification under BS EN 13501-1: 2018, independently verified by United Kingdom Testing and Certification. Non-combustible. No surface residue. Compatible with the fire safety specifications of data centre construction.
  • CONQOR B50 admixture provides permanent internal durability enhancement from the time of the pour. Non-combustible. No impact on fire rating specifications.
  • AQURON 2000 advanced spray-applied hydrogel treatment penetrates deep into the concrete. Non-combustible. No surface coating introduced.
