AQURON 2000 concrete waterproofing sealer is a spray-applied colloidal silica hydrogel treatment for new and existing concrete. AQURON 2000 guarantees to control internal concrete moisture under floor coverings and is also a penetrating waterproofing treatment.
MARKHAM WARRANTY is conditional on the 5 Rules & 8 Precautions.
Also utilised as penetrating spray-on treatment for waterproofing and enhancing concrete durability. Learn more about utilising AQURON 2000 for waterproofing concrete…..
AQURON 2000 is the original catalytic hydrogel treatment for concrete. It has so many uses, applications and benefits, that people don’t always immediately believe us when we tell them what it can do.
AQURON 2000 is a water-borne nanoparticle colloidal silica, with a unique catalyst. When atomized onto the surface of concrete, AQURON 2000 penetrates deep into the porosity, reacting with the free limes and moisture already in the concrete, and inducing a C-S-H hydrogel formation.
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) available.

Protect your flooring investment on large commercial projects (500m²+).
Moisture in new concrete can cause floor coverings to delaminate, leading to costly delays and failures. Aquron 2000 Flooring is your proactive solution.
• Equal or superior to 14 days’ water curing.
• Complies with the moisture retention requirements of AS3799.
• Save costs and time with curing and moisture control in one treatment.
AQURON 2000 spray on concrete waterproofing can be applied to new or existing concrete.
MARKHAM recommends applying AQURON 2000 to concrete during the curing stage, for enhanced curing and maximum long-term benefit.

How AQURON 2000 Prior to Floorcoverings works.
The core technology is a hydrogel formation induced by colloidal silica.
When spray applied to concrete, the nano-size colloidal silica reacts with the calcium hydroxide in the pore water to penetrate into the concrete pores to depths of 150mm to form a stable, polymerized hydrogel in the pores and porosity.
This hydrogel over time reaches strengths similar to Calcium Silicate Hydrate (C-S-H, cement paste). Its most important function though, at any age, is that it stops moisture migration through the concrete porosity. Once the reaction has taken place, and the hydrogel is formed, it is permanent and cannot be reversed or removed, it becomes part of the concrete itself.
Colloidal silica particles are nano-size and able to work in the nano-size concrete pores. A typical concrete pore is around 50 nanometres, and colloidal silica is in the range of 5-20 nanometres in size.
For scale, a human hair is 100,000 nanometres.
AQURON 2000 penetrating hydrogel is a spray-applied. The sprayer must have sufficient pressure and tip size to atomise the spray. AQURON 2000 can be applied to new or existing concrete.
AQURON 2000 MEDI+ penetrating hydrogel is a spray-applied. The sprayer must have sufficient pressure and tip size to atomise the spray. AQURON 2000 MEDI+ can be applied to new or existing concrete.

Detailed information is found on our downloads page! Technical data, MSDS, specifications, BIM files and more.
Floor preparations, patches, and adhesives require an absorbent concrete surface in order to physically bond and chemically cure. The moisture or solvents must have a place to dissipate.”
What does an absorbent concrete surface look like prior to installing floorcoverings?
AQURON 2000 seals and hardens concrete, impeding deterioration and enhancing durability. It also immobilizes internal concrete moisture. This product is not subject to warning or ban under section 26 of the Building Act 2004.
